"Soak My Head" is about modern anxieties / uneasiness many people face by being online too much. Sometimes in denial about the addictions of these dopamine rushes, we don’t always realize where we’re at. Time is wasted. The chorus expresses a feeling of mental refreshment - plunging into cold water, feeling reset, re-grounded, calm, conscious, present.
lyrics
Overhead
Uneasiness I won’t address
It feels to me
My life is falling in my screen
But the mind can mend
Haziness and focus blend
Know it’s here to stay
I need something to break away
Soak my head in ocean breeze
Receive
Psyche symmetry
Sunk my head in open seas
Relieve
Cleanse how I perceive
This won’t remain
The balance is a fragile game
Really can’t describe
The reason that I’m so inclined
I need some air
Not see what they all have to share
When I live this way
Can’t help but feel I’ve gone astray
Soak my head in ocean breeze
Receive
Psyche symmetry
Sunk my head in open seas
Relieve
Cleanse how I perceive
Dunk my head inside my dreams
Refresh
From all my bitterness
Douse my mind so I can breathe
Reflect
What it means to be
Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.

the rain has been falling ever more slowly this morning, apparently transitioning to snow. or perhaps the sky is as reluctant to ever again touch the ground as i am right now while listening to this album. i've been a fan since l.o.l. but this is the best one yet! Scott
